The One We Lost
A teacher, a mother, a wife, and a friend
When you left this world
You left behind so much
A father to raise a son
Who would never know his mother
Students with so much love and knowledge
Wanting to be like you
And those of us who will never be the same
Because you loved and cared so much for us
Some might not have shown how much they care
But no matter how you cared for them just the same.
We may not know why you had to leave
Us all behind
God needed you more than we did
And we will be fine
We will learn to live without you
Though at times it will be hard
We know you are watching us
And you love us so
When we accomplish things you are proud
And when we fail you will wonder why
Because you know what we can do.
You will always be a part of us
We cannot forget how much you helped us
Or how much you care
We know that you did not want to go
But you had to go
We will always miss you
And know that you wish you could be here with us
You held me close and loved me.
You kissed me good night.
You scared all the bad guys a way.
You loved me even when I said that I hated you.
You loved me when I was a pain in the butt.
You loved me when no one else seemed to.
You loved me when I caused trouble and hurt.
You taught me that the greatest thing in this world is love.
You taught me that you love me know matter what.
You taught me to love everyone
You taught me a lot of what I know.
You held me tight when I need you.
You started to let me go little by little.
You pushed me to be the best I could be.
You let me go even when it was really hard.
You tell me that you love me.
You tell me that I can do it.
You tell me that everything will be ok.
You tell me that you love me.
You cry with me.
You laugh with me.
You talk with me.
You show me how to be Great.
You are my Mom.
You are my Hero.
You are my best friend.
You are my Mommy.
